What are transactions?

Transactions are among the most important RoboDomain functions. Transactions reflect the history of a domain.

Each transaction corresponds to a domain operation, such as domain registration or renewal.

Transaction benefit

By recording domain transactions, you keep track of your domain history. At any time you'll be able to check when the domain was registered or when you paid the last renewal fee.

If you provide the transaction amount, RoboDomain is able to track your expenses per domain and assess whether or not a hosting plan is worthwhile.

Transaction elements

A transaction is made up of 4 different elements:

  • operation type - it can be a Registration, a Renewal, a Transfer or an Upgrade
  • hosting - the hosting company associated with the transaction
  • order - the order details
  • payment - the payment receipt details

Transaction example

On June 24th, 2010 you renewed the domain example.com registered with Awesome Hosting Inc. Your current hosting package is Domain Registration + DNS Management and the price is €11.99/year.

Your order reference with Awesome Hosting Inc. is MO3306744. You paid the invoice using your PayPal account.

Here's the RoboDomain transaction details page.
